Project Description: Peninsula Road Cottage is a 2000 sq ft, four-bedroom, three-bathroom retreat in Port Carling, ON, sought to offer a boutique hotel-level rental experience in Muskoka. While preserving the original 2007 layout and flooring, enhancements included adding white painted shiplap for textured walls, removing upper kitchen cabinets, and converting a storage room into a kitchenette for outdoor spaces. The exterior transformation involved frameless glass railings, an extended upper deck, and a repurposed boat slip on the dock into an expansive entertaining area exceeding 1100 sq ft. The incorporation of new furnishings, decor, and local artwork created a luxurious ambiance, prompting the client to decide to keep it for personal use.
